Fathi Osman – Ex-Eritrean diplomat and political commentator who worksfor the famous Radio Erena in Paris.

«Our main goal is to give information to the people and uncover what the government conceals», says Fathi Osman a former diplomat for Eritrea who now lives in France and broadcasts for the independent Radio Erena. After his studies in diplomacy he went back to the newly independent Eritrea to work for the ministry of information with the vision to restart after the long period of colonization. The hopes have been high: Eritrea should have been the Singapore of Africa. Today, he lives in France and calls himself an independent journalist and writer. Fathi Osman has a deep knowledge about the Eritrean political system, as he worked as a diplomat in different countries for many years, studied English literature, media science and journalism. If you want to discuss how the political system in Eritrea was built up and why it failed, how the revolution in Eritrea started and why it ended in dictatorship, how Eritrea practiced diplomacy or if you want to know more about Radio Erena, meet Fathi Osman on October 16th at Rote Fabrik.
